Endlich - unser Buch ist fertig/Finally - our book is finished

Seit gestern ist unser Buch gedruckt. Es hat doch tatsaechlich fast 7 Jahre gedauert. Es ist richtig schoen geworden (danke Georg fuer das Titelbild!)

In den USA kostet das Buch 10$ (mit Versand inklusiv). Wenn jemand das Buch von Europa, Afrika, Australien oder Asien haben moechte, kann man warten bis wir einen Weg finden um zu schicken (d.h. Amazon).  

The book is finished and printed since yesterday. It took us almost 7 years. It worked out really nice (thank you Georg for the Cover picture).

The book costs $10 in the USA (including postage). If someone from Europe, Africa, Australia or Asia would like to buy the book, you may have to wait until we can find a way to send you a book (working on Amazon at the moment). 

Lake of the Ozarks

Wir waren die letzten 3 Tage bei einer Gemeindegründerfreizeit in Lake of the Ozarks. Es war sehr gut. Es waren ca. 50 andere Paare da und es war gut sich auszutauschen. Außerdem hatten wir gute Sprecher und haben viel Neues gelernt. Wie Ihr auf dem Bild sehen könnt ist es eine schöne Gegend und wir konnten uns auch bei schönem Wetter ein bisschen entspannen.

For the last three days we have been at a church planter`s conference at Lake of the Ozarks. It was very good. There were about 50 couples and it was good to talk to each other about our experiences. We also had good speakers and learned a few new things. You can see on the picture that it is a really nice region and we had really good weather. We also were able to relax a little bit.

Quarkmaschine/quark machine

Wir haben uns auf den Internet (http://germanplaza.com) eine Quarkmaschine gekauft, da man in den USA keinen Quark kaufen kann. Jim hat heute gleich Quark gemacht, mal sehen wir der Kuchen wird...
Von Donnerstag bis Samstag werden Jim und ich zu einer Freizeit fuer Gemeindegruender zum Lake of the Ozarks gehen, die Maedels bleiben bei Glenn und Barbara (Oma und Opa).

We bought a quark machine online (http://germanplaza.com) because you can´t buy quark in the USA. Today Jim made some quark with the machine. We will see how the cake will turn out...

From Thursday until Saturday, Jim and I will be at a church planter retreat at Lake of the Ozarks. The girls will stay with Glenn and Barbara (Grandpa and Grandma). 

Luvi und die Maus/ Luvi and "die Maus"

Letzten Montag war hier ein Feiertag (labor day), ich habe gearbeitet, weil die Haehnchen haben ja nie frei...

Vorletztes Wochenende waren wir in Rogers bei einem Jahrmarkt (Frisko Festival). Da gab es Karussells und Staende. Wir hatten viel Spass. An einem Stand war ein Spiel fuer die Kinder. Es gabe eine Schatzkiste und die Kinder konnten einen Schluessel aus einem Korb ziehen, um die Kiste zu oeffnen. In der Kiste waren Preise. Alles Kinder vor uns haben nichts gewonnen. Nur ein paar Schluessel haben gepasst. Zuerst kam M. dran, sie nahm den Schluessel aus der Hand von dem Mann an dem Stand und der hat tatsaechlich gepasst. So hat M. eine Uhr gewonnen. Dann kam J. dran. Sie hat wohl genau beobachtet als der Mann den Schluessel zurueck in den Korb gelegt hat und hat auch den richtigen Schluessel gezogen. Sie hat sich auch eine Uhr aus der Schatzkiste genommen. So werden wir in den naechsten Wochen die Uhr lernen!

Jims Eltern haben den Maedels neue Fahrraeder und Helme gekauft, letztes Wochenende haben wir mit Radfahren verbracht.

Last Monday was a holiday (Labor Day). I had to work because the chickens never go on vacation..

On Saturday of the Labor Day weekend, we went to Rogers to the Frisco Festival. There were carousels and booths. We had a lot of fun. At one booth there was a game for kids. They had a treasure chest with prizes in it and the kids had to pick the right key out of a basket to open the box. Many kids were not winning. M. came and took the key out of the hand of the man standing by the treasure chest. The key opened the chest and M. picked out a watch. J. came next. She saw where the man hid the key with the other keys. She observed this carefully. Then she picked out a key, and it also opened the treasure chest. So, J. also picked out a watch. So, they are now learning how to tell time. 

Jim's parents bought both of the girls each a bike.  The girls spent the last weekend riding their bikes.
