Wandbild/wall picture

Barbara, Jims Mama hat ein Wandbild an Janayas Wand in ihrem Zimmer gemalt. Da Janaya gerne Fische und Haie mag, hat sie ein Unterwasserbild gemalt.

Barbara, Jim's mom painted a picture on Janaya's wall in her room. Janaya likes fishes and sharks thats why Barbara painted an underwater picture.

Adoption party

Gestern hatten wir die Adoptionsparty fuer Janaya und Madison. Es kamen so ungefaehr 50 Leute und es war eine schoene Feier. Natuerlich gab es auch viele Geschenke...

We had Janaya's and Madison's Adoption Party yesterday. Around 50 people came and it was a nice celebration. Of course, there were a lot of gifts, too...

Adoption

Heute Morgen waren wir beim Gericht, um die Adoption von Janaya und Madison abzuschliessen. Die Beiden heissen ab heute Janaya Susanne Erwin (mein Mittelname) und Madison Ruth Erwin (der Mittelname meiner Mutter). Am Samstag werden wir eine grossen Adoptionsparty um 14 Uhr in der Baptistengemeinde in Washburn feiern. Alle sind eingeladen!!!

We were in court this morning to finalize the adoption from Janaya and Madison. The new names of the two girls are Janaya Susanne Erwin (my middle name) and Madison Ruth Erwin (my mother's middle name). On Saturday we are going to have a big adoption party at 2pm at Washburn First Baptist church. Everybody is invited!!!

Herbst und Neuigkeiten/fall and news

Herbstzeit, wir haben schon einige Kuerbisse mit den Maedels dekoriert. Gestern waren wir in der Kirche in Washburn, um Halloween zu feiern, mit Spielen, Huepfburgen, etc. Das Wetter ist momentan noch sehr schoen, sonnig und so um die 20 Grad C.

Am 12. November haben wir die Gerichtsverhandlung fuer J's und M's Adoption, wir sind alle ganz gluecklich! Am 14. November werden wir eine grosse Adoptionsparty feiern!

Fall - we already decorated a few pumpkins with the girls. Yesterday we were at the church in Washburn to celebrate Halloween, with games, and a bouncy house... The weather is really nice at the moment. It is about 70 Degree F.

On November 12th we will have the court date for J's and M's adoption. We are all very happy! On November 14th we will celebrate with a big adoption party!

Naechtlicher Besucher/visitor at night

Als ich gerade die Tuer aufmachte und die Hunde rauslassen wollte, sass da eine Eidechse. Gott sei Dank bin ich nicht draufgetreten. Die Hunde haben sich nicht dafuer interessiert. Ich denke mal morgen frueh ist die Eidechse wieder weg.

I just opened the door and wanted to let my dogs out. There was a lizard sitting in front of the door. Good that I didn't step on it. The dogs where not interested. I think the lizard will be gone in the morning.

Mein neues netbook/my new netbook

Jetzt gibt es ja so kleine Computer, genannt netbook. Da ich sowieso einen neuen Computer kaufen wollte, habe ich mir so eins gekauft. Es ist ungefaehr so gross wie ein DIN A4 Blatt und ideal als Zweitcomputer. So genug Werbung...Es geht uns gut und wir warten nur noch auf den Gerichtstermin fuer die Adoption fuer J und M. Danach kann ich auch Bilder von den Beiden hier zeigen.

Since a while there are small Computers on the market, called net books. I needed a new computer anyway and so I got one. The net book is about as big as a normal sheet of paper and perfect as a second Computer. Enough advertising now....We are doing fine and we are waiting on the court date for j and M's adoption. Afterwards I can put pictures of them on here.

Xandi ist da/Xandi is here...

Wir haben Besuch aus Deutschland. Xandi eine Freundin aus Kirchheim ist gekommen. Sei bleibt fuer 8 Tage. Auf dem Bild seht Ihr wie sie Gras auf unserem Grundstueck zusammen recht. Wir maehen normalerweise nur und lassen das Gras liegen, da das Grundstueck so gross ist...

Morgen gehen wir nach Oklahoma, zu einem Cherokeemuseum in Oklahoma.

Heute Abend gibt es richtiges Steak bei Jims Eltern...

We have a visitor from Germany. Xandi, my friend from Kirchheim, came this week. She is staying for 8 days. On the picture above she is raking grass in our yard. Normally, we only mow and we don't collect the grass because the yard is too big...

Tomorrow we will go to the Cherokee Museum in Oklahoma.

Tonight we will eat real steak at the home of Jim's parents.
